Monastery

This project was an introduction to landscaping and site. The idea was to pick a site in a more rural area of Philadelphia and to manipulate the site to achieve a specific program. The program in this instance was that of a monastic order that was meant to have both private functions as well as areas of community outreach. I separated these two functions by having a large, steep overlook set between the public and private areas as well as using the tree coverage to include especially private areas.
