College of Entrepreneurship
This project, completed in the latter two terms of my 5th year with partners Brian McKernan and Neil Ryan Young was focused on creating a comprehensive design centered on integrative design principals. Using a site on Drexel’s campus, we probed the relevant adjacencies and future plans for the neighborhood to determine which of Drexel’s schools would be the best fit for the site. Landing on the School of Entrepreneurship, we created a design metaphorically drew the users up through the entrepreneurial process. With its focus on integrative design principals, each step of the process, from massing and architectural details to technical analyses of HVAC, acoustics, and more all needed to be focused on enhancing our core narrative thesis rather than fitting them in afterwards. All the work displayed here is my own personal work, for a more in depth look at the project including work done by the other group members, please take a look at our final process book here: https://issuu.com/neilryanyoung/docs/group3process_chung
